Carl and I Head to a Web Workshop, Greg is Hot on The Magician King

Tired of seeing the same blah front page on our website? So are we, and that's why Carl and I are heading to a hotel outside O'Hare airport for a one-day web workshop with our friends at the American Booksellers Association.

I should mention that we do have a new post on The Boswellians--Greg touts Lev Grossman's The Magician King, which came out on Tuesday. Here's a taste:

"Grossman's trademark style is everywhere in this book, and that's a good thing. While still firmly grounded in the realm of fantasy, he effortlessly weaves in literary and pop culture references (there's a particularly clever Lisbeth Salander reference) that makes the text accessible to general fiction readers as well as diehard fantasy fans. The pacing is excellent, the characters are quirky and relatable, and the twists and turns of the plot will keep you up late into the night."

Oh, and we got our first boxed Christmas card order. Sort of exciting, but also with a touch of dread.  Is summer almost over?
