We've confirmed another event that was formerly at Next Chapter.
Monday, October 1, 7 pm, at Boswell:
Stephen Pastis, author of Pearls Freaks the #*%# Out.
Straight from the Journal Sentinel comics page, this is the newest treasury (that means it is selections from two of the smaller books combined, with color and insights from Pastis) from Pearls Before Swine. This was formerly a ticketed event, but is now free and open to the public. Anyone who bought a ticket from Next Chapter will get a new copy of Pearls Freaks the #*%# Out. We will not, however, be able to refund your ticket price.
Here's some marketing info from Andrews McMeel: "From fire-breathing jugglers to sword-swallowing illusionists, this treasury showcases all strips from "Larry in Wonderland" and Because Sometimes You Just Gotta Draw a Cover with Your Left Hand, along with Pastis's original commentary, which provides insight into what Pastis was thinking at the time random strips were conceived, and also fan reactions."
Be gentle with us. I'll be running this event with one of my booksellers, while I'm juggling the book club discussion of Please Look After Mom.

Thanks for picking up this event - I was bummed when I saw that Next Chapter had closed and didn't know whether I would have to drive to Kenosha to see Pastis....
