What's Going on This Week? Gingold on MS, Flynn on Fighting Against a Friend's Deportation

Tuesday becomes Monday, at least blogwise, as it's time to give a heads up to our two upcoming events this week.

Tonight on July 5 at 7 pm, we are hosing Jeffrey N. Gingold, author of the updated edition of Facing the Cognitive Challenges of Multiple Sclerosis. The new edition has four new chapters chronicling Gingold's journey since the first book, new cognitive strategies, and a new introduction by Dr. Dawn Langdon.

Tomorrow, July 6, at a special time of 6:30 we head over to our first event at Mount Mary College.  Sister Josephe Marie Flynn's Rescuing Regina: The Battle to Save a Friend from Deportation and Death is a harrowing tale of Regina Bakkala, a Congo refugee who faced rape, imprisonment and torture in her homeland, only to wind up in the U.S. prison system, facing deportation.  Flynn is just one of the folks who banded together to fight for Bakkala's cause. The forward for Rescuing Regina is by Sister Helen Prejean.  The event is at Bergstrom Hall, 2900 North Menomonee River Parkway.

Don't forget the earlier starting time!
