After a lot of exciting meetings, conversations, complications, and the like, we're pleased to announce that tickets have gone on sale for a signing with Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat guard and Marqutte alum, for his book A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball. The memoir goes on sale September 4. Our signing, co-sponsored by Marquette University, is on Tuesday, September 11, 1 pm.
The signing is at Marquette University's Al McGuire Center. There are no walkups. You can get tickets at the Brown Paper Tickets site. Great idea, Stacie! And while I'm giving out thanks, I'm very grateful to Jim at the Marquette University Athletic Department Spirit Shop for all his help.
Because we want to make as many people happy in the small allotment of time that we have with the author, there are restrictions. No personalization, no memorabilia, no books brought from home, and no posed photographs. We are currently limited to 500 tickets.
I got a little panicky as we sold a lot of tickets in the first hour. The last thing I want is for our regular customers not to get a chance to go. So the email newsletter went out today, and the blog will follow, reposted to Facebook and Twitter.
