What a Day, What a Day. I Say it Twice as It's Our Second Day this Week with Three events.

On Tuesday, many of you know that we co-sponsored Sherman Alexie at the Milwaukee Public Library's Centennial Hall, Shauna Singh Baldwin at the Elm Grove Library, and Jennifer Chiaverini at Patched Works.

Well today we are having an equally busy day. This morning Hannah and I attended the Woman's Club holiday book lunch, where we chatted about everything from Thomas Jefferson to the Smitten Kitchen (Cookbook). At 4pm, we hosted the Wimpy Kid bus for an hour signing (the big shindig is tonight in Oconomowoc), and then at 7 we've got Hans Weyandt, Liam Callahan, Stefan Moorehead, and our own Stacie Williams, celebrating the releases of Read This and My Bookstore.

The Wimpy Kid bus turned out to be much bigger than I expected but we found a spot for it just a block south on Downer. It needed three spaces. So much for folks claiming there's no parking near the bookstore.

And here's Mr. Callanan reading a variation of his My Bookstore essay for Lake Effect.
