I'm pretty sure I have blogged from the Women's Leadership Conference in the past. It's a complete program of speakers and workshops held at the Pfister each March. Last year the keynote speaker was Gloria Steinem, which proved to be popular.
So it's time for folks to start registering for 2013's conference, which is held on Friday, March 15. This year's keynote is from Anita Hill, and unlike Steinem, she actually has a recently published book, which is Reimagining Equality: Stories of Gender, Race, and Finding Home (Beacon).
After the keynote, the attendees divide into programs that include "Feminine Leadership," "Vision + Passion = Success," and "How to Talk to Your CEO."That is followed by the lunch speaker, Bonnie St. John, Rhodes Scholar, Olympian, and author of How Great Women Lead (Center Street). There's too more sets of concurrent sessions, followed by a cocktail reception.
The fee for the entire day is $329. There is a discount for UWM folks, and a group rate is also available. Contact Jan Allen for more details. Reduced-rate parking is available in the Hotel Pfister garage.
